The tournament comprises three groups, each playing a four-day, 15-game round robin. Group A will compete from July 11th-14th, with Group B fighting it out in Valencia, Spain from July 18th-21st. Group C, hosted by Castions di Strada and Buttrio, Italy from July 22nd-25th, features three top-10 teams, including gold medalists Japan and bronze medalists Canada from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
But that’s not all - the XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup will be the first tournament staged under a new two-stage system. The top two teams in each group’s final standings will advance to the Finals in 2024, which will take place in Italy.
